About Us

A charity that aspires to spread smiles across the globe. ‘Our vision is to see hunger, pain, poverty and social injustice eradicated from the world; as we acknowledge that every human life matters and deserves a chance to flourish.’

Mission

Our aim is to work on Intentional projects with the world’s most disadvantaged and underprivileged communities to combat poverty, famine, social injustice and illiteracy by providing financial and material aid to those unable to support their families, education to children, clean drinking water and healthcare to barren villages. We also aim to launch campaigns and community projects to teach charity work and promote equality and diversity for the public.

How do we go about achieving it?

Through our objective of international projects, every year Wishful Smiles will focus on a region in the world where help is most needed, and conduct a project where volunteers will help deliver a charitable service. For 2013-2014, our focus is on battling poverty and hardships in parts of India. We will be getting in touch with remote villages, orphanages, homeless shelters, care homes, community groups, NGOs, and Non-Profit Organisations, to understand their needs and requirements and how we can help them. After understanding the changes which ought to be made and where, Wishful Smiles will then design, raise funds for and implement projects that will help create a sustainable way these communities can better themselves, with our help.

Every year, Wishful Smiles will work on a new project, each time identifying and selecting a different location and completing projects that benefit the host community. This will give volunteers a chance to travel around 3rd world and developing countries, gaining experience and sound credentials, whilst simultaneously making profound differences within those regions.

Through our objectives of community projects and campaigns we:

1) Act as a resource for young people by providing advice and assistance and organising programmes of physical, educational and other activities as a means of:
a: Teaching them to get involved in charitable work.
b: Advancing education

2) Promote equality and diversity for the public benefit by:
a: The elimination of discrimination on the grounds of race, gender, disability, sexual orientation or religion.
b: Advancing education and raising awareness in equality and diversity.
